That’s the whole point…you never know who’s watching. And you never know what kind of space they’re looking for, or at what price.
I will be showing plenty of different spaces, sizes, shapes, and prices. Hopefully it’s two things: an education about the vacancies in downtown Windsor, and possibly a catalyst to move a new business into the core.
Hating on the one segment is a little premature.

Who is going to rent that? Ford moved out. What business in Windsor needs office space like that? I can tell you that nobody I know is considering Windsor as a business home. $16/sf? Here we go again. Nobody is getting that right now for such a space. You couldn’t get half that. Just reality.

Does anyone have any idea of the value of the space were seeing?

$16/sq ft * 8000 sq ft = $128K / month,
1.5 Million a year! If it’s like most commercial leases is continues increase every year or so.

Tom, what kind of business do you anticipate is gonna spend that many dollars on an office space?

This is a really nice blog:-) In that space, I’d create a computer company or an eco-technology firm or an education resource center. May ideas like this blog & video create a buzz for renting out spaces in Windsor. Hey Tom, you weren’t invited to TED for nothing. I feel the Real Estate Agencies are going to welcome this idea with open arms. Pat yourself on the back…Someone needs to give you an award.

Thanks everyone! I’ll be looking into properties as fast as possible.
But I’ll only post one per week. And I’m only limited by the accommodation of real estate agents to show me around.
If they help me out, I can keep it fresh.

Good to see! At the end of March to more buildings will become vacant – the two current TDCanada Trust banks, one on Ouellette and Wyandotte and the other the corner of University and Victoria.

I keep seeing construction workers at that bank on the corner of University and Ouellette, but I’m not sure what’s moving in there.
